Mr. owl may know how many licks it takes to get to the yummy center of that toostie roll pop. My question is how many xbox’s will it take to get to the yummy middle of the biggest gamerscore milestone in the history of man kind? At the current rate it will take me 32 xbox’s. That would be 8 dying xbox’s per 250k. For me to reach 1 million gamerscore there will have to be a continuous score from this generation to the next. Will the next xbox be more reliable? I for one believe it will be built with love. They will not make the same mistake again. I believe the total number of xbox’s it will take to get 1 million gamerscore will be around 15. Now excuse me, i’m still trying to figure out how many licks it takes to get to the center of the toostie roll pop. Some mysteries may never be solved. Damn owl! *shakes fist*

What’s the deal? It is not a good game, plus the achievements take FOREVER.

Aquazone: My score: 200 of 1,000

What’s the deal? I only know what one achievement is and I have it.

Novadrome: My score 35 of 200

What’s the deal? I was expecting some twisted metal action, boy was I wrong. Very crappy game, I get a headache just thinking about it. I might go back to it one day if I get the urge to torture myself.

Over-G: My score 250 of 1,000

What’s the deal? How about a game that freezes everytime you unlock an achievement? You lose the planes you are trying to unlock in the process. I will probably never play this again. I have standards….

Moto GP 06: My score 310 of 1,000

What’s the deal? There’s nothing technically wrong with this game, just wasn’t my style. I can see myself going back to this in the future.

Spectral Force 3 Japanese Version: My score: 0 of 1,000

What’s the deal? I cannot get any achievements in this game unless I get a Japanese translation or play the american version first. Probably will never go back to this. Goose egg.

Everyparty Japanese Version: My score 320 of 1,000

What’s the deal? Don’t have the copy anymore. Already played the Asia verison for 50+ hours.

TotemBall: My score 60 of 200

What’s the deal? DO NOT EVER PLAY THIS GAME. You’ve been warned. If you see me playing this, a zombie probably ate my brains.

Call of Duty 3: My score 315 of 1,000

What’s The deal? Gears was out, that meant no time to play this. Not as good as COD2. I will go back to it and try for the full 1,000.

WCP All in: My score: 255 of 1,000

What’s the deal? I was sick of poker games at the time and I still am. I might one day go back to this.

Guitar Hero 3: My score 250 of 1,000

What’s the deal? Rock Band came into my life. This game does have some really hard achievement’s though. I will mop up some achievements down the road.

Ridge Racer 6: My score 378 of 1,000

What’s the deal? Not a big fan and there are much better racing games i’ve yet to play. Will go back to one day.

Pimp My Ride: My score 205 of 1,000

What’s the deal? Game is the worst on the 360. Play it to get a LOL, then snap it in half.

Not that it didn’t take dedication, time, and effort. The title #1 legit was handed to me by default or process of elemination if you will. There wasn’t much of a race when I bounced onto the gamerscore scene in april or may of 2006 because that’s when everyone else in the top 50 or so started cheating.

I peeked at #6 overall in the world and was one of the first top american gamers to import a Japanese xbox. It was my test to see how far people were willing to go. I under estimated what would happen. It was only a couple weeks time until everyone started profile swapping and gamesaving which left me stuck in the middle. I didn’t want to get lost in the shuffle so I spoke up about it. I was going to be in this thing for the long haul, because it was something I liked to do. I didn’t want to be another cheater.

If some of those guys didn’t cheat, I am sure the gamerscore race now would be very interesting. Some of those guys were probably more dedicated and better gamers than I am, but I can’t say that with 100% confidence because they are the ones who choose to cheat. I know there are guys that probably play 12-14 hours a day. I don’t play close to that much. I shower daily, I brush my teeth 2-3 times a day, I exercise, and I like to do other things other than game all the time. I can’t play 10 hours a day, everyday.

If there was a legitmate race for the top still going, my gamerscore would be somewhere between 270-280k. The competition would’ve drove me to do so. The cheaters spoiled me, I can play 100+ hours of Battlefield and not have to look at leaderboards. I know what’s up, I don’t have the fear of being passed. I want the fear, the fear brings motivation. I am sure I would’ve missed a few showers if a legit race was still alive and kicking,

In my last blog post I stated that I played roughly 300 games for gamerscore alone. Were they all bad? No, not all of them. Here are some games I became a fan of because my gamerscore addiction had me injecting these into my 360.

That’s still around 240 I didn’t want to play. I will say though, the other games range from decent, to bad, to craptastical, most being in the former.

At the end of the day microsofts evil plan worked hook, line, and sinker. Even crappy games can be fun when your playing a “meta game.”
